GREAT MOMENTS IN READER FEEDBACK: The real reason the Seattle Times shuts down the comment section.

It should come as little surprise that the Seattle Times editorial board endorsed a “no” vote Thursday on a state initiative that, if passed, would separate biological females from biological males in sports. This opinion is consistent with the slant of every story the paper has published on the subject.

Misguided? I think so. But it’s acceptable for the Times to have an opinion that differs from how the masses may think. What’s unacceptable, however, is the paper silencing all of its readers who want to push back.

Predictably, the comment section was disabled at the bottom of the editorial, continuing a trend of censorship on issues the Times knows will spark subscriber blowback. The paper almost always tries to justify the suppression by saying it’s a “sensitive” subject, but that is not the true reason.

What I think the Times’ bosses really want is to preserve what’s been described as the “illusion of consensus.” In short: They want to squash any evidence that their readers disagree with them.

Had the comment section been open, it almost certainly would have been filled with a chorus of subscribers voicing their opposition to the “no” endorsement. They would have pointed out that the Times has never shown any consideration to the biological females affected by trans athletes in their sports, and that the separation is simply a matter of fairness.

But this would make it known that the paper’s readers do not jibe with the agenda the Times is pushing. And the brass, well…the brass can’t have that.

Of course not. William F. Buckly famously said that “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.” There probably aren’t many conservatives left in Seattle, but there are likely plenty of left-leaning Seattle Times readers who vehemently disagree with their stance that biological men should compete in women’s sports.

CRAZY TOWN: Masked Woman at ‘Socialism 2026 Conference’ in Chicago Explains Why Fitness is Fascist (Video).

Socialists are currently attending the ‘Socialism 2026 Conference’ in Chicago and there are dozens of insane videos from the event that are already going viral on social media.

In this one, a masked woman explains why socialists must reject the idea of fitness, because to do otherwise would play right into the hands of fascists. Is this some sort of bizarre reaction to RFK Jr. and MAHA? No one would be surprised.

You will notice that this woman is masked. In 2026. In fact, it looks like almost everyone at this event is wearing masks. These are the people who loved the Covid-19 lockdowns. They’re pining for the return of those glory days.

MUCH MORE LIKE THIS PLEASE: U.S. Cuts Off Antifa’s Global Leftist Lifeline.

A report in the left-wing Guardian newspaper, headlined “Pro-choice militants are attacking ‘crisis pregnancy centers’ across US,” documented terroristic attempts at intimidation from New York and North Carolina to Wisconsin, Texas and Washington state in the past several years.

The paper noted: “The methods have been extreme: vandals have thrown molotov cocktails, committed arson, damaged property and made threats.”

Jane’s Revenge issued a statement demanding “anti-choice establishments” shut down in 30 days or face further violence.

That was in 2022 — yet the group continued operating, until its website went dark just days ago thanks to a Trump administration crackdown on terrorist infrastructure.

Jane’s Revenge and various other radical organizations, including antifa groups, were part of a network relying on web services provided by Italy’s “Autistici/Inventati,” or A/I Collective.

According to the State Department, the A/I Collective “builds and operates the digital infrastructure for violent Antifa cells and other far-left militants across the world,” providing technology “designed to support the operations of far-left terrorist networks, built to enable them to organize, recruit, communicate, disseminate propaganda, share target information and tactics, and carry out violent attacks — all while remaining anonymous, untraceable, and beyond the reach of the law.”

The collective has been facilitating leftist provocations for years.

But on Aug. 26, the State Department struck back, officially deeming the A/I Collective a “specially designated global terrorist.”

GET WOKE, GO…: Nike To Leave the S&P 100 on September 21.

Nike is set to leave the S&P 100 before U.S. trading opens on September 21, 2026, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices. The change was announced on September 4 as part of the index provider’s quarterly rebalance.

The sportswear company joins Honeywell Aerospace, Simon Property Group and Colgate-Palmolive on the list of S&P 100 departures. Dell Technologies, Palo Alto Networks, Arista Networks and Sandisk will enter the index.

Nike will remain in the S&P 500; S&P Global describes the narrower S&P 100 thusly:

The S&P 100, a sub-set of the S&P 500®, is designed to measure the performance of large-cap companies in the United States and comprises 100 major blue chip companies across multiple industry groups. Individual stock options are listed for each index constituent.

Things began getting awfully weird at Nike in 2019, starting most prominently when they issued a pair of Betsy Ross-flag embedded sneakers, likely only so that uber-woke Nike endorser Colin Kaepernick could dunk on them, to coincide with the Fourth of July. In Nike’s collective mind, this was evil and “offensive:”
