IT’S COMPLICATED: Isaacman outlines Artemis III multi-launch checkout sequence and Blue Origin priority.
He emphasized that the mission will require a sequenced series of launches involving three different vehicles and providers, and that NASA will only commit the Space Launch System (SLS) if Blue Origin’s lander is already in orbit.
Speaking during a wide-ranging interview with NSF, Isaacman confirmed that Artemis III is structured around an initial New Glenn launch carrying Blue Origin’s Blue Moon lander. That vehicle is expected to have the ability to loiter in orbit for roughly 30 days.
That flight would be followed by the SLS/Orion crew launch and a Starship launch.
He described the three-launch, three-provider profile as unprecedented for a NASA crew mission and a reflection of the multi-launch campaigns expected for future large-scale space infrastructure.
“We’re not going to launch without Blue Origin in it,” Isaacman said. “That’s why they’re going to launch first. Like they need to be up there, do some checkouts, and then we commit SLS.”
Yeah, about that:
The time and money wasted on SLS will never stop infuriating me. If China beats us back to the Moon, it will be because of the failure to take advantage of Falcon Heavy by shifting funds from SLS to what we actually needed to get back to the Moon. https://t.co/1BEl58fRFA

SLS is worse than a boondoggle.
BROKEN WINDOWS:
Arresting fare jumpers is one of the best things you can do. Naive communists assert that “petty crime” shouldn’t be prosecuted because they want the breakdown of society. Without fail, the fare jumper is committing other more serious crimes every day. Because if you’re willing… https://t.co/4Dxg5bKDXd

IF THEY’RE DOING THIS FOR MIDTERMS, IMAGINE WHAT 2028 COULD BE LIKE:
'Everybody [is] waiting for the Democrats to win': Another migrant caravan left southern Mexico in October and some migrants we interviewed said they hope for a Democrat victory in the midterms so the U.S. starts shifting away from Trump's immigration policies.

YOU STAY CLASSY, JAMES CARVILLE:
But there’s more – here’s James Carville: “The Democrats don’t even think you [Stevens] are worth a used condom.” Never seen anything like the anti-woman crash out going on rn. Wow. https://t.co/AmmN6URS2l

Back in July, Real Clear Politics reported: James Carville Says DSA Are ‘Paternalistic, Over-Educated Little White Turds’ Who ‘Think They Know Better Than You.’
And yet curiously, when Stevens endorsed El-Sayed’s opponent yesterday, Carville attacked her despite El-Sayed giving “every indication that he will align himself with DSA-affiliated members of Congress—veterans such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D–N.Y.) and likely newcomers such as Darializa Avila Chevalier and Claire Valdez, both of New York, who rode similar waves of populist resentment to victory over establishment Democrats.”
Incidentally, El-Sayed has a similar opinion of women to Carville:
Superb question by Ross Douthat and his dismissiveness of the El-Sayed go-to party trick —asking a question instead of answering one— leads AES into a meandering and absurd answer which leaves everyone aware that he will support boys in girls’ sports. https://t.co/srLO5lK6ti

Look, I don’t personally know most of these people. And no, I don’t read most of the books (my reading tastes are weird, okay?) But they’re willing to associate with my blog, which tells you they’re probably not our political enemies. Which means if you read the blurb and the sample pages and get hooked, chances are you won’t be giving money to people who hate you.

ABSOLUTELY TRUE. SLOPCORE (YES, IT’S THE NAME, DEAL) NAILED IT: “America Innovates, Europe Regulates”.
It was always a tendency of Europe. Having lost the lead in the race to the future circa the early 20th century, Europe prided itself on being more considerate and careful. But the EU just tied them up in red tape and blindfolded them with stories of how much worse things were in America. (All of them BS.)
