The moment tech fans have been waiting for is finally here, as Apple officially unveils the iPhone Duo.

Apple’s long-awaited first foldable device features a book-style design, with an inner screen that is wider than it is tall when opened out.

Its massive 7.6-inch Super Retina inner display is 80 per cent larger than the 18 Pro, coupled with a 5.4-inch outer display.

The iPhone Duo is available in two colours – night sky and star white – and is constructed from titanium.

Thanks to its ‘effortlessly smooth’ hinge, the tech giant claims its first foldable will be even more durable and should keep annoying screen creasing to a minimum.

IN AMERICA, MURDER HAS BECOME MAINSTREAM:

It’s not millionaire socialists such as Piker who pick up rifles to gun down Charlie Kirk or Zionist Jews or anyone else on the far-left’s hit list. Piker’s role is simply to create an environment in which others will act. He’s not alone: the hatred and hysteria whipped up to kill Kirk was fomented by countless small-time radical campaigners. They put a target on Kirk’s back by painting him as a threat to transgender people’s lives. The reality was that his own life was endangered – and was then taken by a gunman.

His slaughter is now a source of ongoing glee for the sort of people who listen to (and sing along with) Piker. There may be other forces at work in the brains of those who pity Lindsay Clancy, a child-killer without a political agenda. Yet it’s hard to avoid comparing her apologists with Luigi Mangione’s left-wing admirers. Mangione became a folk hero to anti-capitalist radicals after he killed UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024. Clancy’s case lacks the overt ideological angle, but emotions run deeper than ideas. Mangione and Clancy have both benefited from a warped sense of sympathy for the underdog and greater identification with the killers’ plight than with that of the victims. It’s been argued that this is a projection of “Main Character Syndrome,” the narcissistic belief of many people, in this age of social media, that the whole world is nothing but a film in which they are the star.

Other people are not really real – they’re just extras, or stock villains (the heartless healthcare executive), or mere props to set up the psychodrama (Clancy’s dead children). Clancy’s five-year-old daughter and two sons, one three years old, the other just eight months, were too young to be main characters. But Clancy, like Mangione, looks like someone who might star in a TV drama where the obviously guilty defendant miraculously turns out to be innocent. That kind of story is so much easier to relate to than one in which a mother really does intend to kill her defenseless children, or one in which a leftist young man isn’t justified in his murderous rage against “the system.” When was the last time you saw anything like that on Netflix?

ONCE THE CURIOSITY SEEKERS GOT THEIRS, THERE WAS NOBODY LEFT: Hunter Biden’s laptop-linked meme coin soars, then falls after market debut.

The $LAPTOP coin quickly surged from $37 to around $222 within its first hour. But the cryptocurrency is trading around $1.36 just after 3 p.m. EDT, according to Coinmarketcap.com, a database tracking cryptocurrency prices.

The coin dropped around 95 percent in value since its launch.

The behavior is in line with the typical lifespan of meme coins, which do not carry any intrinsic value but often surge in price because of social media hype around their launch.

NO THANK YOU: Meta launches AI agent that can access other apps to send emails, make payments.

Modeled on the open-source AI agent OpenClaw, Muse is designed to access a person’s apps across categories like email, calendar, payments, health, shopping and the smart home, Meta said. People choose which apps it connects to and can revoke access at any time.

Each Muse agent runs on its own virtual machine, a cloud-based emulation of a personal computer, which enables it to keep carrying out requests in the background even when a person is not actively using it.

Syncing up with apps containing a person’s real data both increases the agent’s potential usefulness and significantly raises the stakes for safety, both for the people who have entrusted it with their information and for others who may be on the receiving end of agent misbehavior.

Vishal Shah, vice president of AI products at Meta, told Reuters the company had initially delayed the release of the product in April to make it more secure.

But the whole point is to give it access to your files and even your payments. Much as I love my AI tools, I keep them safely inside their sandbox.

That’s one of the fundamentals of good journalism. We all have our likes and our dislikes. But … when we’re doing news — when we’re doing the front-page news, not the back page, not the op-ed pages, but when we’re doing the daily news, covering politics — it is our duty to be sure that we do not permit our prejudices to show. That is simply basic journalism.”

In 2019, long after RatherGate ended his career at CBS, Dan Rather was still muttering boilerplate such as, “As a lifetime journalist I can say I can only speak for myself: you do the best you can realizing you’re going to make your mistakes… that’s the test point of trying to stay objective and try to stay unbiased.”

Nobody believes old media claims about “objectivity.” Tell me your worldview so that I can take that into account when you’re presenting me a story.
