THE VIEW HOSTS REACT TO PLAGUE RETURN AND ‘OMINOUS’ ELECTION MESSAGE FROM TRUMP:

The cohosts of The View had double trouble “Hot Topics” to deal with on Wednesday’s (October 7) live episode: the emergence of a new mystery pneumonic Plague in Russia and Donald Trump‘s cryptic statement that Project 2025 architect Russell Vought is preparing a “surprise” in the coming weeks leading up to the midterm elections.

Ana Navarro had a much grimmer outlook on the matter, saying, “I’m just so scarred, I guess, from the Covid experience that when I hear this, I just kind of want to put my hands to my ears, curl up in the fetal position, and say, ‘Wake me up when it’s over.’ This is why I think it’s so important that we have qualified people in government… I just don’t give a pass to Republican senators who voted to confirm RFK Jr. as secretary of health, knowing he wasn’t qualified, including people like Bill Cassidy, who’s a doctor himself, a senator, because things like this are going to come up. There’s going to be crises. There’s going to be health emergencies, and when I think of RFK Jr. heading HHS, I just say, ‘Girl, kiss your ass goodbye.'”

Good to see that ABC News productions and their show hosts are remaining calm and dispassionate during these trying times.

Duwaji, the wife of New York City’s Israel-bashing mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has been doing illustrations for the company since at least October 2025, when her husband was the frontrunner for the mayoralty, records show.

“Rama Duwaji is a Syrian illustrator and animator based in Brooklyn. Her work explores sisterhood, closeness, and the subtle dynamics that shape our communities,” reads Duwaji’s page for the company, Olive Odyssey.
Duwaji, who was born in Houston but describes herself as Syrian, has provided illustrations for at least two offerings from Olive Odyssey—one of which sells for close to $100 a bottle.

Not far from her bio and products on the Olive Odyssey website, the company sells its “Nazareth Picholine Cold Pressed: Floral [Harvest 2025]”—with art featuring “a hand-drawn portrait of Khalil Abu Osba, a Palestinian resistance fighter.” Abu Osba is hailed by his olive oil aficionado supporters as an anti-Israel militant who not only shot down a plane but was also condemned to death before breaking out of a fortress prison.

The highly active social media accounts for Olive Odyssey are almost cartoonishly anti-Israel, displaying a notorious antisemitic image of Israel as a skull with dead Palestinians in its teeth, deploying language about the olive trees watered with “martyrs’ blood,” and even accusing Israel of appropriating salad.

Meanwhile: A New York City program that Mayor Zohran Mamdani says will combat antisemitism involves a partnership with aggressively anti-Israel activists.

THE FEDERAL JUDICIARY NEEDS MORE DISCIPLINE: After More Than Three Years, Judge Newman’s Case Is Transferred To The Eleventh Circuit: The case was only transferred after Chief Judge Moore extended Newman’s suspension for another year. “Indeed, there is a parallel between Chief Judge Moore and Judge Southwick. Both judges care very much about who sits on their court and they seek to use their own judicial power to control who sits on the court. The judicial ethics mavens apparently see nothing wrong with either of their conduct, but I do. And for what it’s worth, Judge Newman could have hand-picked her successor a long time ago, but has made the moral choice to serve until she can serve no longer.”

TO BOLDLY GO WHERE WHOOPI HAS GONE BEFORE: Patriots QB Drake Maye sounds slightly skeptical of the moon landing: ‘I’m not 100% sure.’

“Let me try not to get too controversial. Let me think.”

But then, after thinking it over, the 24-year-old said that he’s always been slightly skeptical of the moon landing.

“I don’t know about the moon,” Maye said. “I can see back in the day of why we would put on the mask if we went there, but I’m not really sure 200% if we went there or not. I wouldn’t say I’m leaning one way or the other. I just know I’m a little bit skeptical.”

To be clear, Maye isn’t saying that he absolutely believes that we never went to the moon; he’s just saying he’s not so sure. One of the show’s hosts seemed thrilled that Maye brought up the moon landing, as he certainly had a few conspiracy theories about it that he wanted to share.

“I think it was Stanley Kubrick who did the entire thing. He has put clues in all of his movies that he was the guy who directed the moon landing,” the co-host said. “I absolutely believe we didn’t land on the moon.”

If you’re not familiar with the Kubrick conspiracy theory, some people believe he helped film the “moon landing” on a studio sound stage.

Nonsense – Kubrick was an exacting taskmaster; he shot the moon landing on location:

Another BDS supporter, Rosalind Morris, sits on a task force charged with reforming the University Senate.”

A GOOD START: Trump Admin Moves To Strip Citizenship From 40 Foreign-Born Americans.

The targets of the latest action include people from China, Afghanistan, Egypt, Pakistan, Venezuela, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Mexico, according to the Justice Department. The cases involve offenses including acting as an agent of the Chinese government, committing voluntary manslaughter, and various forms of fraud.

“Today’s announcement marks the largest denaturalization effort in modern history,” Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement Monday. “From an individual convicted of espionage to others convicted of sexual offenses against minors, these defendants concealed critical facts from the U.S. government and represent serious criminal offenders.”

One of the targets of the Trump administration’s latest denaturalization effort is 60-year-old Cuban-born Javier Marrero-Pando, who in May 2020 forced a man with special needs to perform sexual acts against his will, according to the Justice Department. In October 2020, Marrero-Pando allegedly lied under oath that he had never committed a crime for which he had not been arrested. DOJ says the false statement led immigration authorities to approve his application for naturalization.

To be fair, at least Marrero-Pando doesn’t seem to have married his brother.
