NO DIVERSITY IN ‘NO KINGS’ CROWDS: Did you notice the paucity of non-white faces among those “No Kings” protests over the weekend. Apparently “Diversity for Thee, But Not For Me.”  Issues & Insights noticed.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEFING: Dear GOP — Let President Trump Lead the Way to Midterms Victory. “Trump has been showing them how to win. It’s a simple story they can tell on the campaign trail: Democrats want to keep murderers and rapists on the streets to imperil your families, and Republicans want to remove the threat. If the threat is in the country illegally, we want to send them home.”

IT’S GOOD TO BE THE NOMENKLATURA:

From the linked report: “Rep. Eric Swalwell and his wife consistently brought in an income in the top 5% of Washington, D.C., households from 2021 to 2024 but made cash-raising moves anyway: drawing down retirement accounts, delaying federal tax payments and spending heavily on child care through campaign funds, according to tax returns and campaign finance filings.”

Swalwell has never held a private-sector job.

SCHLICHTER: Our Own Ruling Class Desperately Wants to Lose This War. “What’s more treacherous and treasonous than wishing your own country gets defeated in war, especially by a bunch of goat-molesting seventh-century pagan savages whose primitive mindset is matched only by their grotesque perversions? Well, the disgusting perversions part is merely a collateral reason why members of America’s donkey party seem to have such an affinity for Iran’s rulers – the mullahs, with their bizarre bestiality and grotesque handmaiden dogma, and the San Francisco Democrats, with their furry-friendly gender-spazz grossness, collectively share the worst figurative collective browser in the history of ever. Yet, it’s more than their joint commitment to degeneracy that binds them together in a desire for America to lose this campaign. The Democrats hate America, and they think it will help them politically if America can be humiliated. But more than that, seeing America lose also satisfies the evil lurking inside them.”

Let it all out, Kurt.

BLESS THEIR HEARTS:

The Brits used to be made of sterner stuff — back when they produced two series in the 1970s about colonies on the moon:

To boldly go where Gerry Anderson has gone before! (Pardon the split infinitives and mashed-up Angelo-American sci-fi references.)

RANDO IS UNCHARACTERISTICALLY KIND IN HIS ASSESSMENT:

IT’S MY THURSDAY ESSAY FOR VIP SUBSCRIBERS: What in the Actual Hell Is Going on in China? “If you ever thought you had a handle on what in the actual hell is going on in China, it was probably interrupted by a story like the recent disappearance of Yang Wei, the 62-year-old designer of China’s top-of-the-line stealth fighter.”

AMERICA’S ‘WRONG-TRACK MAJORITY:’ What is that? Writing for Real Clear Polling, J.T. Young examines the Right Track/Wrong Track survey data and finds national elections being easily won by candidates supported by coalitions of voters who see the country going the wrong way.

But once the opposition-based majority gets elected, it starts falling apart because its constituent elements can’t agree on much of anything, including how to get where the candidates promised to take the country. Intriguing hypothesis that you should read more about here.

IN A SENSE!

BECAUSE OF COURSE: Democrat-led states threaten to sue Trump over voter database executive order.

“I don’t know how it can be challenged. They’ll probably challenge it,” Trump said at Tuesday night’s Oval Office signing. “You may find a rogue judge – a lot of rogue judges. Very bad, bad people. Very bad judges. But that’s the only way that can be changed, and hopefully we’ll win on appeal if it is, but I don’t see how anybody can challenge it.”

Arizona, California, Maine and Oregon immediately vowed to sue the Trump administration over the executive order, Fox News reported.

“We’re challenging it,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom posted on X on Tuesday, sharing a clip of Trump signing the order. “See you in court.”

Arizona Democratic Secretary of State Adrian Fontes told The Associated Press: “It is just wrongheaded for a president of the United States to pretend like he can pick his own voters. That’s just not how America works.”

Please, let blue states sue Trump on the 20 side of another 80/20 issue.

SPRINGTIME FOR KAMALA:

Team Kamala in 2024: Rehabilitate Dick Cheney and George W. Bush by seeking their endorsements, both of whom the left endlessly compared to Hitler from 2001 to 2008:

Team Kamala in 2026: Promote favorably the man who thought Winston Churchill was the baddie in WWII:

AND NOW RE-READING THE SECOND BOOK OF CHRISTOPHER DI GRAZIA’S SERIES: It’s as good as I remember, even better than the first!  The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of: A Theda Bara Mystery.

The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of: A Theda Bara Mystery

THE STUFF THAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF

Hollywood, 1917. Silent movie queen Theda Bara is filming her epic, Cleopatra – “the one they’ll remember me for.” But when a studio extra turns up dead in a PR stunt gone wrong, Bara finds herself the center of intrigue, from a friend from the past who isn’t at all what she seems, to an Egyptian cult that wants her dead. With stars like Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin and Erich von Stroheim along for the ride, Bara and her loyal friend, makeup artist Toby Swanson, have to find out who is telling the truth, who is lying and whether it spells the end of Cleopatra. . .or of Hollywood itself.

A little bir–  Okay, the author himself after I linked it last time said that there’s a third upcoming. He’s chugging along on it. I can’t wait.
