DECOUPLING: Google Pulls Every Last Pixel Product Out of China. “Google is cutting Beijing out of its hardware supply chain entirely. Starting in 2027, every Pixel phone, watch, and earbud will be manufactured in Vietnam and India, eliminating China’s decade-long foothold in the company’s manufacturing. Only Samsung has made a cleaner break among global smartphone brands.”

NOT THE BEE: Pennsylvania court case declared mistrial because none of the jurors would own up to smoking a doobie in the jury room. “The prosecution and the defense both agreed that if the juror had a prescription it was fine, and the judge said no one would be in trouble for the incident, but all the jurors also swore that they were not taking any medications that could affect their judgment in the case, so the judge needed to figure out who it was.”
That would be fine, really?

She speaks about the problems with clan members:
“It usually doesn’t take long for 20, 30, 40 family members to show up in front of the hospital. They have special Telegram groups where they alert each other, and they want to make their presence felt in a way that’s often aggressive: ‘We’re here; we stand by our people—and you can expect trouble if anything happens to them.’
“In these circles, it’s common for the mothers and women to scream loudly and in high drama. This high noise level is a stress factor for the staff and also for the patients.”
That’s no way to run a hospital. Or a Western nation.

CHANGE: Trump’s bill prompts steep SNAP enrollment decline — including over 50% in one state. “Proponents of welfare reform hope the roll reductions are driven by people earning too much to keep qualifying — a sign that policy changes are behaving as intended for a program they assert is riddled with fraud.”

CIVIL RIGHTS UPDATE: Gun rights lawsuit aims at Colorado’s state & local carry restrictions.
The complaint marks the latest in a line of recent legal challenges, brought by both gun rights groups and the Trump administration, targeting restrictive gun laws in Colorado.
The two out-of-state residents, Greg Howeth of Hawaii and Zackary Dougherty of South Carolina, both regularly visit Denver and would like to carry for self defense, but are not permitted because of the local and state laws, according to the lawsuit.
Colorado requires concealed handgun permit holders to be residents, while open carry is generally allowed statewide without a permit unless a local government has banned the practice, which Denver has done.
Howeth, who has permits to carry in Hawaii and Utah, regularly flies to Denver because he has a second home in Weld County, but Colorado doesn’t recognize either of his permits. Dougherty previously lived in Loveland, where his current employer is located, so he regularly travels through Denver on work trips.
Neither can lawfully carry – whether concealed or openly – while in Denver, despite being otherwise qualified and trained, they argue in the lawsuit.
More:
As Complete Colorado previously reported, Colorado is also facing a lawsuit from the Colorado State Shooting Association (CSSA) challenging Senate Bill 25-003, the state’s new permit-to-purchase scheme for semiautomatic rifles, shotguns and handguns that went into effect on August 1.
CSSA, an NRA affiliate, is also suing over state and local magazine capacity restrictions, which are additionally being challenged by the U.S. Department of Justice.
If Colorado’s gun laws aren’t the worst in the nation, they’re close.
BLUNT TRUTH ABOUT THE NATIONAL DEBT: Going back 73 years to the first day of President Dwight Eisenhower and continuing through the end of 2025, every President and Congress, Democratic and Republican, has increased the National Debt. My latest Substack column is just about as blunt as possible on this crucial national issue. So is this one on PJMedia this morning. We can’t afford to ignore this any longer, folks.

GUY MILLIÈRE: Europe in Free Fall.
Economically, Europe is in ghastly shape.
For nearly five decades, the European Union’s economic growth and productivity rates have lagged behind those of the United States.
European Union countries have established welfare states that have steadily expanded since 1980 and stifle economic growth.
The European Union has also proliferated stifling regulations that place a heavy encumbrance on businesses. Restrictions on gas and electricity production, combined with a drive for a rapid and extremely costly transition to “renewable energy”, have resulted in natural gas prices in Europe that are now three to five times higher than in the US, and electricity prices that are 2 to 4 times higher than in the US. To survive, many European companies have relocated production outside Europe.
International investment is turning away from Europe. Nine of the world’s top ten tech companies are American; the tenth is Taiwanese.
Although heatwaves have been affecting Europe for more than two decades, the continent remains resistant to air conditioning, viewing it as an expensive luxury (AC consumes costly electricity)…. In 2003, a heatwave in Europe killed more than 20,000 people. Almost nothing was done to prevent a recurrence, so in 2026, another heatwave has already claimed 25,000 lives.
Pessimism about the future — fueled by the questionable narrative berating “man-made global warming” and the hyped-up fear that the planet may become uninhabitable — is on the rise in Europe.
Most new immigrants in Europe come from the Muslim world and appear to have no interest whatever in assimilating or becoming more westernized.
Even if the “migrants” were amenable to assimilation (they aren’t), given all the above, why would they?
