HEATHER MAC DONALD: ‘Cornell 7’ drama proves the campus-rape panic is a farce — and college women know it.

“Believe survivors,” the campus activists and leftist politicians admonish us.

But which “survivor” statements are we supposed to believe?

In the weeks following her alleged gang rape at a Cornell University frat house in 2024, “Jane Doe” was unequivocal: She had not been raped.

A day after the incident, she texted one of her sex partners, saying “non (sic) of the sexual stuff was illegal and honestly I really liked being with u” — and she suggested another get-together.

The next day she texted him again, including an affectionate note: “I luv you king.”

She angled herself an invitation to the annual Halloween party at the frat where she was allegedly raped.

Up to that point, Doe’s statements and her behavior had been consistent: She considered herself a voluntary participant in group sex, after she’d deliberately downed 10 shots of alcohol.

Exit quote: “If females take full responsibility for their own behavior, the lucrative, bureaucracy-bloated grift will come crashing down. So the college assault complex has a surefire method for erasing such moments of clarity: Don’t believe those ‘survivor’ statements. Females are only credible as purported victims.”

And thus, the sexual revolution comes full circle.

IT WOULD TAKE A HEART OF STONE NOT TO LAUGH: Mamdani booed, berated by anti-Israel protesters waving Hamas flags at NYC Oct. 7 memorial: ‘Shame on you.’

Mayor Zohran Mamdani was berated and booed at an Oct. 7 candlelight vigil in Union Square on Wednesday night by anti-Israel protesters who believe he turned his back on Palestinian causes.

Hizzoner, with a candle in hand, was heckled by the angry mob, including some waving Hamas and Hezbollah flags, who marched from City Hall to crash the event meant to honor Jewish victims killed by Hamas terrorists — and Palestinians in the subsequent war.

“You coward!” some of the keffiyeh-clad agitators shouted at Hizzoner. “How do you let this happen?”

The correct honorific now is Hizzallah — who still isn’t radical enough for his base.

BOTTOM STORY OF THE DAY:

Maybe he’s just transitioning to NGO work.

HORSESHOE THEORY:

MEANWHILE, OVER AT VODKAPUNDIT: Take More of My Money, Elon! “Another day, another regulatory approval for Elon Musk to launch more satellites than he has up there already. It’s almost a ‘dog bites man’ item at this point — but only almost. This one has all kinds of cool little angles.”

ANNALS OF LEFTIST AUTOPHAGY: Mamdani Gets Gloriously Hoisted With His Own Petard By Protesters.

As we reported, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani spat on those memories with his statement on the day, which was more about remembering people in Gaza and attacking Israel than remembering the victims and the Oct. 7 attack.

So it was perhaps surprising that he showed up at a Union Square vigil for the victims of the Oct. 7 attack.

Even at such a solemn event, anti-Israel radical activists disrupted it, surrounding the smaller vigil crowd. The activists even tried to drown out the announcements of the vigil by banging drums. As we reported, some were even holding up posters of Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas Oct. 7 mastermind who Israel eliminated in October 2024.

But in what has to be a real example of someone hoisted with his own petard, Mamdani was heckled by the protesters.

They called him a traitor and a sellout. They directed all the standard anti-Israel chants against him.

The far left dubbed Biden “Genocide Joe.” During an August 2024 rally in Michigan, protestors heckled his would-be successor by shouting “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide, we won’t vote for genocide.”

In the immediate aftermath of October 7th, John Kirby, Biden’s National Security Council spokesperson, attempted to push back: How the White House’s John Kirby is taking on the word ‘genocide.’

Challenged at a White House briefing to confront the term “Genocide Joe” by some protesters to described Biden, Kirby, who had previously ruled out “drawing red lines” for Israel’s actions in Gaza, embarked on an animated exposition.

“People can say what they want on the sidewalk and we respect that. That’s what the first amendment’s about,” he said. “But this word genocide’s getting thrown around in a pretty inappropriate way by lots of different folks. What Hamas wants, make no mistake about it, is genocide. They want to wipe Israel off the map.

“And they’ve said that they’re not going to stop. What happened on the 7th of October is going to happen again and again and again. And what happened on the 7th of October? Murder; slaughter of innocent people in their homes or at a music festival. That’s genocidal intentions.

“Yes, there are too many civilian casualties in Gaza … And yes, we continue to urge the Israelis to be as careful and cautious as possible. But Israel is not trying to wipe the Palestinian people off the map. Israel’s not trying to wipe Gaza off the map. Israel is trying to defend itself against a genocidal terrorist threat. If we’re going to start using that word – fine. Let’s use it appropriately.”

Good luck with that, as Bill Maher recently told music producer David Foster:

I DON’T PUT MUCH STOCK IN CNN, BUT THIS CERTAINLY SEEMS AS THOUGH IT’S PROBABLY TRUE: If This Is True, CNN Just Dropped Some Huge Nicolás Maduro News. “Prosecutors in New York are expected to bring new charges against former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores over the alleged torture of Americans who were held in Venezuelan government custody in recent years.”

HE DESERVES MORE THAN JEERS: Protesters jeer Mamdani at Oct. 7 vigil. “The events raised questions about whether Mr. Mamdani, who energized his campaign with his embrace of the Palestinian cause and ardent criticism of Israel, can now, as mayor, unite New Yorkers whose emotions remain inflamed over the issue.”

The answer is no, he can’t, and he will inevitably side against the Jews.

CHANGE… FOR NOW: More Texas Cities End Flock Agreements, Cover Cameras.

The cities of Hewitt and Kyle are the latest in a slew of Texas localities opting out of involvement with Flock Safety cameras.

Hewitt’s recent decision to take down its Flock cameras comes as the Kyle City Council voted 4-3 to cover its cameras.

Flock’s automated license plate readers (ALPRs) use AI to scan license plates and save information about a vehicle, such as make, model, color, and other identifiers like cosmetic damage or bumper stickers.

Flock allows law enforcement officers to access its database without acquiring a warrant. This has raised concerns over potential violations of citizens’ Fourth Amendment rights.

“We ended our agreement with the ALPR vendor, which is Flock, and it’s due to the grant funding,” Hewitt City Manager Jim Devlin said. “We wanted to ensure that we didn’t later on receive a bill for funds that we didn’t have available.”

Devlin noted that Gov. Greg Abbott’s recent pause of state funding for Flock cameras played a crucial role in the decision.

But: “If it [the money] comes back and it’s something that’s viable for the city of Hewitt, it’s something that we’ll end up looking at,” Devlin noted.
