ITS ORIGIN AND PURPOSE, STILL A TOTAL MYSTERY: Thwarted Hijacker Underwent ‘Islamist Radical Indoctrination,’ Netanyahu Says.
The pilot who was narrowly prevented from hijacking a passenger jet en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv on Wednesday underwent “Islamist radical indoctrination,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
The FlyDubai pilot, an Omani national who has not yet been identified, stabbed his co-pilot and tried to seize control of the jet, which was filled with Israeli passengers.
“We know that he underwent Islamist radical indoctrination,” Netanyahu said in an interview with Fox News, citing information Israel has learned during its investigation. The prime minister did not reveal any additional details.
A fellow pilot told Israel’s Channel 16 journalist Yosef Yisrael the attacker was “someone characterized by very strange behavior, especially around religious observances that were out of step with his surroundings.”
“For instance, he used to pray a lot, and would not shake hands with women,” the pilot — who spoke to Yisrael on the condition of anonymity — said.
In 2012, Denzel Washington starred in Flight, about an airline pilot who heroically lands a crash-diving MD-80 full of passengers, but is later discovered to be an alcoholic. At what point does an airline notice that one of its captains is in the throws of Sudden Jihad Syndrome?
FIRST THE F-47, AND NOW THIS: US Navy selects Boeing to build next-generation F/A-XX fighter.
Inked at $20 billion for the full-scale development phase, the contract, according to a Pentagon release, “procures multiple test aircraft for ground, airworthiness, systems, and weapons integration testing.”
“The F/A-XX is a critical pillar in our commitment to maintaining peace through strength,” Michael P. Duffey, under secretary of defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, said in the release. “F/A-XX will dominate contested airspace, extend operational reach, and deliver a decisive combat advantage for the warfighter.”
Equipped with an extended range to provide power projection from U.S. carriers, Boeing has promised that the F/A-XX will, crucially, be interoperable with both manned and unmanned platforms such as Collaborative Combat Aircraft.
Starliner is still a bit of a mess, but Boeing’s more recent efforts seem to have the company on a roll.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY? Ask a liberal college student if he or she would become a registered Republican if they became convinced the conservative, limited government perspective is the most productive of a free and prosperous society. Think they would say yes?
What if instead the question is addressed to a young student who professes to be a Buddhist and the question is whether he would become a Christian if he were convinced that it is the true faith? The young man initially said “No,” but then changed his mind. Find out why here on HillFaith.

SHE MIGHT JUST BE THE SHARPEST OPERATOR IN HOLLYWOOD RIGHT NOW: Sydney Sweeney’s racy ads help sports betting platform quadruple valuation to $2B. “Novig had built a small audience from its podcast and clinched a partnership with the New York Mets, but the platform took off after the “Euphoria” actress signed on as an equity investor and posed in her birthday suit for the company’s ads, which went viral online.”
Equity investor, you say?
Sharp, indeed.
THE RAPE CULTURE MYTH:
Let’s take a moment, in light of the Cornell “rape case” hysteria, to savor the dilemmas facing the activists and academics who promote the idea of “rape culture.” If there is indeed a “culture of rape” at elite institutions, as Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez recently reaffirmed, why do…

More:
If there is indeed a “culture of rape” at elite institutions, as Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez recently reaffirmed, why do female students flock into them? Cornell’s student body went from a little under 50 percent female in 2005 to nearly 54 percent female in 2025. The hoary (no pun intended) statistic bandied about relentlessly during the height of 2010’s campus rape frenzy—that one in four female undergraduates would be sexually assaulted during her college years—signifies a level of criminal sexual violence unheard of even during African tribal wars.
Yet instead of demanding a massive expansion of single-sex schools where they could study safely, females keep trooping in to co-ed colleges and, even more inexplicably in light of the received feminist wisdom, into the frat parties that are allegedly hot beds of rape. Either females are too stupid to take the most basic of precautions or there is no rape crisis and they know it. The same goes for their status-hungry mothers: why are they sending their daughters into such a maelstrom of violence? Answer: that violence does not exist.
Of course it doesn’t. “Rape culture” was never anything more than a cudgel for browbeating men.
But out of an abundance of caution, have you considered pursuing an online degree?

RED CHINA, RIP (MAYBE MUCH SOONER THAN YOU THINK): Nobody knows with certainty how many Chinese men and women have died as a result of Mao Tse Sung’s defeat of Nationalist Chang Kai Shek in 1949 and the subsequent Hell-on-Earth known as the Communist Revolution in Beijing. Credible estimates are of 80 million deaths, but there may well be more.
China has become the Superpower rival of the United States following America winning the Cold War against the Soviet Union. But, terrible irony of all ironies, China was greatly assisted in that emergence by … us. And today, the dying goes on as the Underground Christian church faces deadly persecution, and the Muslim Uyghurs subsist amid concentration camps, unwilling organ donation and forced labor.
But, as Rod Martin makes clear in his column today on Substack on China 77 years later, the Asian giant’s future is anything but good news for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Although these nations have a scornful view of democracy and Western civilization, this might be justifiable at a state university. How though is it defensible at a Catholic one?”

DEFINITELY DON’T GET DEPRESSED: CNN’s Data Guru Just Dropped Brutal Numbers for the Democrats’ Midterm Dreams.
GREATEST STORY NEVER TOLD: Larry Kudlow said it first, but Rod Martin’s column of the same name points to what is likely the biggest puzzle of the 2026 election season — the Trump economy is soaring, but Trump and GOP popularity are not. Thus, “experts” are beginning to talk about a Democratic wave in November.
But, as Martin points out, the counter to such Blue optimism and GOP apathy may be as simple as four votes per precinct in a low-turnout contest, which mid-terms typically are. Republicans are thus well-advised to drop the dour looks, get off your tuffs and get to work because things are actually much better than either they or the “experts” are telling us.
THE NEW SPACE RACE: SpaceX set to launch Google AI chips into orbit in push toward space-based data centers.
The launch is scheduled for 11:15 am PT from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California’s Santa Barbara County.
SpaceX has promoted supercomputers in space as the next frontier in artificial intelligence infrastructure, touting “infinite real estate” in orbit as a means of escaping the data center backlash on the ground. During the uncrewed Transporter-18 mission, SpaceX will carry Planet Labs satellites, including a solar-powered prototype equipped with Google’s tensor processing units (TPUs).
It marks the first in-orbit test for Alphabet’s Project Suncatcher, a “moonshot” initiative Google first revealed in November 2025. The company aims to develop reliable, solar-powered AI computing infrastructure that can operate continuously in space.
Maybe not “infinite real estate,” but lots of it — and with far fewer complaints from the locals.
